At last, Glossier has reached our shores and it’s safe to say they did not disappoint! It took me all of about five minutes before my basket full and my bank account went back to hating me. If you’re new to Glossier, definitely check out their website and if you’re into the ‘no makeup, makeup’ vibes, this one’s definitely for you!! The good news is Glossier is shipping from UK based warehouses, so there’s no taxes or custom charges to pay *crowd claps*. With reasonable shipping costs, and free delivery over £25, Glossier is sure to be one of the best-selling brands this year. Here’s a 10% off discount code for you to use, which will make you say ‘glossiyay’ 😉
This post is going to focus on the best of their makeup and my good friend Stephanie will be giving you a good old run down of their skincare, so make sure to head over to her blog after! I ordered three of their best-selling makeup items and they’ve been on my face pretty much every day since they arrived. Everything is natural in finish and sits lightly on the skin, perfect for those of us with sensitive skin!
The moment Glossier launched, this was the first item to go in my basket, no questions asked. With a dewy texture and a light (but buildable) coverage, it’s your perfect ‘slap on and go’ concealer for days where you really shouldn’t have had five more minutes in bed…
The texture is also very moisturising on the under-eye area and leaves a slight sheen, which I like to set with powder after. I like to use my fingertips to blend the product out, as I find that the warmth of my fingers works best to really let the product sink into my skin, rather than a brush or a sponge. I have mine in the shade Dark, which I find is a perfect match for my tan skin-tone.
Next up is this little guy, who’s name and packaging is just everything. Quite possibly one of the best brow gel formulas I’ve tried so far, it’s a mixture of wax-gel which adds a bit of colour and beefs up your brows without leaving them feeling crispy.
It keeps my unruly brows in place for the whole day and makes them look less like caterpillars and more like sisters, not twins (as they should be!). Big thumbs up from me!
This. Is. Everything. The mother-load of all highlighters. The answer to my ‘please let me find a dewy, non-glittery highlighter’ prayers. I have the shade Quartz, which is a warm champagne highlighter, with an outer ring of crushed quartz and an inner ring of moisturising minerals. This combination makes for a blinding highlight if applied generously or a subtle glow if you pat it into your skin lightly. I take this on my fingertips and pat it onto the high points of my cheekbones, and it’s one of the most natural highlights I’ve found. YOU NEED THIS.
So there you have it! I hope you liked this little run down of my favourite Glossier products, and expect more G-goodness to come your way in the next few months. Make sure to check out Stephanie’s post as well and let us both know what you think! Till next time folks! xoxo
