I’m one of those people who likes to have fresh, dewy looking skin all year round, whether it’s the middle of winter or the depths of summer (even when my makeup is most likely going to melt off anyways!). I always opt for a makeup-look thats light on the coverage and heavy on the freshness, giving me a I-drink-8-glasses-of-water-daily skin that we all love.
With more and more companies coming out with glow giving products that knock your socks off, I thought I would compile in this post a few of my tried and tested favourites that are kind to your bank account too (who doesn’t love some bang for their buck!).
Loréal Lumi Magique Primer:
This little guy has had a permanent residence in my makeup bag now for the last five years! With not a hint of glitter in sight, the formula is sheer and luminous, giving you a lit-from-within glow. It comes out in a thin liquid-like consistency which you can put on like a moisturiser all over your face or mix in with your foundation or base product for a luminous look.
Benefit’s That Gal Primer:
This primer is also one of my absolute favourites out of the many that I have tried. Its comes in a pinky-champagne shade and blends flawlessly into the skin with a lot of shimmer and luminosity but no glitter. I like to wear this either on its own if I’m having a good skin day, or in a little cocktail of bb cream, moisturiser and this primer. It’s a great product, not too expensive and one that will suit all skin tones! Big thumbs up from this gal (get it? 😉 ).
TopShop Highlighter in ‘Horizon’:
I’ve raved about this highlighter left and right ever since the day I first got it. Buttery af, smooth as silk and the most pigmented product I’ve ever seen, this highlight knocks the word “glow” out of the park. It’s not gritty or glittery like most high-end highlighters and I think the formula and wear time of this product makes it the best highlighter I have tried so far. I really can’t see anything else giving it a run for it’s money! You need this!
MAC Strobe Cream:
And last, but not least, is this little gem. Not unlike the Loréal Lumi Magique Primer, this product goes a mile further and I feel that not only can this be used as a makeup product, but also a skin-care one. It acts brilliantly as a moisturiser thats gives you a little something-something, while also really amping up the glow factor either layered under or mixed in with other base products. A really great little fella, and if you’re after something a little more luxurious, this is your man!
That’s all for today folks, hope you liked this little post and leave me your favourite glow-givers in the comments below xoxo.
