One of the main things I can remember from my childhood is the fascinating world of Harry Potter (thank you J. K. Rowling for blessing us with such beauty!). I read and re-read all of the books and watched all the movies a dozen times over and they are still one of my favourite book series hands down! So when I heard that there was a new instalment coming out, in the form of a play, I was itching to get my hands on it! Annnnd I came away with mixed feelings… I’ll explain why:
I LOVED this play the first time round I read it, I loved diving straight back into the world I was so sad to leave when Deathly Hallows came out. But I suppose in all of my excitement and joy I overlooked how this storyline had quite a few plot holes and to some extent was a little miffed that it kind of recycled a plotline we have come across before. I don’t want to give away any spoilers because I know that a lot of people are still waiting to read this book, and spoilers are just the worst! But I will say this: when you are reading this book for the first time, leave your expectations for it to be like the previous HP books at the door. If you read it as a beautiful story on it’s own, believe me it wont disappoint you, and once I began to read with this attitude in mind, I was truly able to appreciate Cursed Child!
I do want to write more about it, but I think I’ll wait a few more months when more people have read the book and writing a spoiler won’t be too disastrous, but in the mean time, I would highly, HIGHLy recommend you to read this book but do so from a very objective point of view and you will not be disappointed! Happy reading π
I was definitely in two minds about reading the book, but I think I will give it a whirl now xxx

I would definitely read it, even if it is just to satisfy your own curiosity, but I honestly do think it’s a great play! But the original HP books will always have a special place in my heart, nothing can beat those π x
