Now, if you know me, you know that I am the biggest fan of all things nail polish. There is nothing quite like winding down for the evening with a candle burning and a fresh manicure. But when you have a gazillion exams and deadlines to think about, evenings like those were far and few in between. With the start of summer and an overwhelming sense of having all the time in the world on my hands, I got the chance to try out something I’d bought some time ago. When I first bought the Smith and Cult nail polishes from SpaceNK, I had no intention of buying anymore after the hefty price tag that accompanied them. But boy oh boy, I was hooked, line and sinker. The Smith and Cult range launched at SpaceNK around September last year and since then it has been making rounds and taking names in the blogosphere. The colours, all chic and wearable and the slightly dented, edgy bottles are entirely swoon worthy.
I first heard about these luxe nail polishes on Anna Gardner’s blog and it became very clear to me that I just had to have them. However the eye watering and bank crushing price tag makes it a little hard to go ham at SpaceNK and buy one in every colour, which is pretty much exactly what I wanted to do. That is until the sales rolled around this past month…
The bottle itself isn’t going to win the prize for the most compact for storage but it’s hunky, chunky aesthetic makes it hard for you to not fall in love with them. Now here’s the fun part: the hunky lid screws off to show a smaller, easy-to-use brush inside, which is perfect for even the shakiest of hands. The formula itself is the best I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot! Its stroke free, fast drying, which makes the manicure debacle pretty darn easy, and really opaque, meaning that you can get the job done in two coats ❤
The sales and the price tag being reduced to half price meant I was able to get my hands on a few colours I'd been eyeing up for the past few months. My favourite is Doe My Dear, which is a perfect lilac/ beige/ grey hybrid. The other shades shown, from left to right, are Teen Cage Riot, Bang The Dream, Doe My Dear, Beat Street and Bridge and Tunnel. Thankfully, the sale at SpaceNK is still on, so if you think these nail polishes are right up your street, you've got to try them and you can get them for half price!
In conclusion, I'm sure you can tell how in love I am with this brand. I've got my eye on a few more colours and though I really, really don't want to calculate how much I have already spent on these bottles, I'm itching for another sale to roll around. If you do happen to try them, then give me a holler and let me know what you think!
